Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This is an on-site, shop-floor based role within a manufacturing facility.)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee our daily production operations in Nashik. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production operators, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently, maintaining strict quality standards, and promoting a safe and productive working environment. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution:

Supervise and manage daily production activities on a specific shift or production line to ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.

Plan and organize the workflow, allocate tasks to production operators/workers, and monitor their progress to optimize productivity.

Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials to achieve production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Monitor production processes, identify bottlenecks, and take immediate corrective actions to prevent delays.

Quality Control & Assurance:

Ensure all products are manufactured strictly according to specified quality standards, technical drawings, and customer requirements.

Conduct regular in-process quality checks and inspections, ensuring adherence to Quality Control Plans (QCPs).

Identify and address quality issues, implement immediate corrective actions, and work to minimize rejection rates and rework.

Train and guide production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.

Team Leadership & Management:

Lead, motivate, coach, and mentor a team of production operators, fostering a positive, disciplined, and results-oriented work environment.

Provide on-the-job training and guidance to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of the team members.

Manage daily attendance, address minor disciplinary issues, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Conduct effective shift handovers, ensuring all relevant information is communicated clearly.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and industrial safety norms (., proper use of PPE, machine guarding, LOTO procedures).

Conduct regular safety inspections on the shop floor and immediately address any unsafe conditions or acts.

Promote a strong safety culture among the team and ensure compliance with all statutory safety regulations.

Promptly report all incidents, near misses, and accidents and assist in investigations.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving:

Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues, production bottlenecks, and minor equipment malfunctions on the production line.

Coordinate effectively with the Maintenance and Engineering teams for major equipment breakdowns or complex technical assistance.

Implement immediate corrective actions to prevent recurrence of operational problems.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed daily production records, shift-wise output, quality inspection logs, downtime reports, and material consumption records.

Prepare and submit regular production reports, communicating key performance metrics to the Production Manager.

Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MES (Manufacturing Execution System) for data entry and reporting, if applicable.

Continuous Improvement:

Actively participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives (., Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Waste Reduction) to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.

Suggest improvements in production processes, equipment utilization, and shop floor layout to optimize workflow.
