- Lead, train & mentor a team of collection executives, setting clear performance goals, monitoring progress, and conducting regular appraisals—ensuring a motivated, high-performing team
- Recruit and onboard new hires as needed, and continuously assess team skills to identify development areas .
- Design and implement effective collection strategies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce delinquency
- Oversee daily operations: assign accounts, balance workloads, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding cases
- Handle escalated or complex accounts, negotiating payment terms or settlements with customers when required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (., credit, customer service, sales) to resolve disputes, refine credit terms, and ensure smooth operational flow
- Manage vendor relationships for third-party collections and external agencies; monitor their performance & compliance
- Generate and present regular MIS reports on team performance, aging trends, recovery rates, and KPIs to senior management
- Ensure regulatory compliance with financial laws, company policies, and industry standards (., DSO targets, ethical debt collection practices) .
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, better call scripts, and workflow enhancements to improve productivity .
- Document and maintain collection procedures and credit control frameworks to ensure consistency and regulatory adherence
- Resolution of customer issues: handle disputes professionally, ensure positive customer experience during collection interactions
- Maintain client relationships during the collections process to preserve brand reputation and encourage goodwill.
