As a Machine Operator you will operate a CNC machine in our fast-paced environment. The CNC machine
operator is responsible for the production of a wide variety of precision parts. CNC Machine Operators work
from written instructions and blueprints (2D) to mill parts (3D) to specifications.
• Possess and applies knowledge of operations including turning, and as a bonus also (knowledge of, or
willingness to learn) grinding, boring and milling.
• Performs checks using variety of gauges and fixtures to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Use common hand tools in the production and finishing of machined parts.
• Operation and programming of CNC mills or lathes
• Ensure quality parts while minimizing scrap and rework through proper in-process inspection.
• Perform basic pre-staged machine set-ups, tool offsets, and edit CNC programs.
• Recognize and resolves tooling wear problems
You will perform all necessary operations from onloading, to offloading of the machines. So including
choosing and placing the supports, fixation/clamping, choose from the available tools, select the
parameters/set-up, edit a CNC program with Siemens Sinumerik 840D control, check quality parameters,
perform the quality control and do some mild reporting duties.
