Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to clients dealing with issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship problems, trauma, or life transitions.
Coping Strategies: Educate clients on effective coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and self-care strategies.
Confidentiality & Ethics: Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and adhere to professional ethical guidelines and standards of practice.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date case notes and client records.
Referrals: Refer clients to other specialized professionals (., psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, support groups) when necessary and appropriate.
Crisis Intervention: Provide initial support and intervention in crisis situations, following established protocols.
Professional Development: Continuously engage in professional development, supervision, and stay updated with the latest counselling theories and practices.
