Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in all phases of the NPD process, from concept to launch, contributing to design reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors based on quality, cost, and capability.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors, ensuring consistent quality, on-time delivery, and competitive pricing.
Collaborate with the engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to optimize product design for cost-effectiveness, performing cost analysis and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and document manufacturing processes for new products, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Design, build, and test prototypes to validate designs and identify areas for improvement.
Troubleshoot technical issues during development and production stages, developing and implementing effective solutions.
Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and test reports.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality assurance.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process and design improvements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
1-4 years of experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of NPD processes and product development methodologies.
Experience with vendor development and management is highly desirable.
Proficiency in design software (., CAD) and engineering analysis tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with cost estimation and value engineering principles.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
