key responsibilities:

• strategic planning: develop and implement a business plan to establish and grow vernost’s mice business, including meetings, conferences, incentives, and exhibitions.

• business development: identify new business opportunities within the corporate and events industry, develop relationships with key clients, and drive mice sales growth.

• operations management: oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring high standards of service delivery and client satisfaction.

• vendor management: build and maintain relationships with hotels, conference centers, transportation services, and other relevant vendors.

• team leadership: recruit, train, and manage a team of mice professionals, ensuring effective operations and adherence to company standards.

• budget management: develop and manage the budget for the mice division, including cost control, revenue targets, and profitability.

• client relationship management: cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients and event organizers to secure repeat business and positive referrals.

• compliance & reporting: ensure compliance with all regulations related to event management and travel. provide regular performance updates to senior management on the division’s financial and operational metrics.

qualifications:

• bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, business administration, or a related field. mba is preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in the mice industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.

• strong network within the corporate, hospitality, and event management industries.

• proven track record of growing and managing a successful mice business.

• excellent negotiation, sales, and communication skills.

• ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
