Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This is a dynamic, field-intensive role requiring extensive travel within Nashik city, Nashik district, and potentially surrounding regions/districts for market visits, client meetings, and team supervision. Some travel to head office for reviews may also be required).
Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished, strategic, and highly motivated Area Sales Manager (ASM) to lead our sales operations and drive aggressive growth in the Nashik region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing robust sales strategies, managing and mentoring a team of sales executives/representatives, expanding our market reach, and consistently achieving challenging sales targets. This pivotal role demands strong leadership, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and annual/quarterly sales plans specifically tailored for the Nashik area.
Take full ownership for achieving and exceeding assigned sales revenue, volume, and profitability targets for the region.
Identify new market segments, business opportunities, and untapped potential within the assigned area.
Team Leadership & Management:
Recruit, train, coach, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of Sales Executives/Representatives.
Set clear individual sales targets (KPIs) for team members and conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and support.
Conduct regular field visits with team members to observe, coach, and support their sales activities.
Foster a positive, results-oriented, and collaborative team environment.
Market Development & Channel Management (if applicable):
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new dealers, distributors, retailers, or partners to expand the sales network in the region.
Strengthen relationships with existing channel partners, ensuring their motivation, product knowledge, and alignment with company goals.
Manage and monitor channel performance, addressing any bottlenecks or challenges.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key clients, major accounts, distributors, and influential stakeholders in the area.
Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Analysis:
Gather real-time market intelligence, including competitor activities, pricing strategies, new product launches, and customer feedback.
Analyze sales data, market trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and challenges, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Provide regular and insightful reports on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Sales Operations & Process Adherence:
Monitor sales pipeline, ensure effective lead management, and accurate sales forecasting for the area.
Ensure strict adherence to company sales processes, policies, and ethical guidelines.
Manage sales budgets and promotional expenses effectively for the assigned area.
Training & Development:
Conduct regular product knowledge training and sales skill development sessions for the team.
Keep the team updated on new products, schemes, and market developments.
