- formulate, update, and enforce health and safety policies tailored to construction operations.

- perform site-specific hazard identification and risk assessments.

- recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

- conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all construction sites.

- develop and deliver safety induction programs for new hires and ongoing training for site personnel.

- lead investigations of accidents, near misses, or unsafe acts.

- maintain proper documentation and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and preventive measures.

- liaise with statutory bodies such as labor departments, safety inspectors, and external auditors.

- ensure all permits, licenses, and documentation are up to date and compliant.

- develop and manage emergency response plans for construction projects.

- coordinate with local emergency services when necessary.

- work closely with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to enforce safety practices.

- mentor and supervise site safety officers or junior safety staff.

- provide monthly safety reports and improvement recommendations to senior management.

- foster a proactive safety culture where workers are encouraged to identify hazards and suggest improvements.

- recognize and reward safe behavior on-site.
