Job Description

Legal counseling as to Indian regulatory requirements in all areas, including privacy, technology and employment law;

Reviewing, negotiating legal contracts and commercial agreements and ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal,regulatory and organizational policies;

Monitoring the contract process to assure compliance with Lowes contractual guidelines, and satisfaction of internal clients/vendors;

Reviewing the work of other team members and providing assistance in reviews where required;

Setting up processes and systems for the team to perform more efficiently and to work in sync with other internal teams;

Setting up prioritization lists for the team in line with requirements from internal stakeholders;

Ability to create risk matrixes based on business and legal risk to aid with decision making processes;

Providing compliance advice in the following areas: employee and vendor ethics, commercial contracts, data protection and privacy, and intellectual property rights;

Designing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures for the organization and the team.

Handling functions independently with minimal reviews;

Interacting with government officials on behalf of the company;

Managing and working with outside counsel;

Responding to queries from clients

Qualifications / Experience / Requirement for the role:

LLB or LLM graduate,

Extensive experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial IT and non-IT contracts.
