- Plan and oversee acquisition or leasing of vehicles based on operational requirements and budget, and manage the disposal or resale of outdated vehiclesbalancing lifecycle needs with cost-efficiency

- Ensure timely registration, renewal of licenses, and comprehensive insurance coverage for all vehicles

- Develop and monitor preventive and scheduled maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and downtime .

- Track and evaluate vehicle performance data (fuel usage, maintenance history, mileage, diagnostics) to optimize fleet utilization

- Manage parts inventory and coordinate repairs with internal teams or external service providers

- Develop optimized route plans and scheduling strategies to reduce fuel consumption and meet delivery/travel timelines .

- Oversee vehicle dispatch processes and real-time tracking using GPS or telematics for operational oversight

- Recruit, train, and supervise drivers to ensure compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and legal regulations

- Monitor driver behaviorincluding speeding, idling, rest complianceand conduct coaching or disciplinary action when needed .

- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including emergency procedures and accident investigations .

- Maintain accurate recordsinspections, licensing, accidents, and maintenance logsfor audits and regulatory compliance .

- Track key metrics like vehicle uptime, fuel consumption, driver performance, delivery punctuality, and downtimeand report findings to management.

- Analyze telematics and fleet software data to identify inefficiencies and recommend operational improvements

- Coordinate closely with procurement, maintenance, dispatch, logistics, and finance departments to align fleet operations with business goals

- Liaise with clients and internal teams during tours, logistics operations, and packaging schedules to ensure timely, safe, and efficient execution.
