objective of the role:
the business development counsellor is responsible for engaging with prospective students and parents to understand their learning needs and provide appropriate solutions through structured counseling sessions. the role requires strong communication, a consultative approach, and a focus on meeting sales and conversion targets.
key responsibilities:
lead engagement & follow-ups
contact potential leads through calls, emails, or digital platforms.
understand the academic needs, challenges, and expectations of students and their parents.
proactively follow up with interested leads and guide them through the decision-making process.
counseling & product demonstration
schedule and conduct one-on-one counseling sessions (in-person or virtual).
provide detailed and customized product demonstrations, showcasing features, content, and benefits.
address all queries related to the program offerings, pricing, curriculum, and learning outcomes.
sales & conversion
convert counseling interactions into successful enrollments or subscriptions.
explain pricing models, installment/emi options, and handle basic negotiations when needed.
meet or exceed assigned sales and conversion targets on a weekly/monthly basis.
crm management & reporting
maintain accurate and updated records of all lead interactions and statuses in the crm system.
submit daily and weekly performance reports to the reporting manager.
coordinate internally with support teams for smooth onboarding of enrolled students.
customer relationship management
build a trust-based rapport with students and parents to ensure confidence in the offered solution.
maintain professionalism and empathy in all customer interactions.
