role overview:

we are looking for an experienced oracle applications developer to design, develop, and maintain our retail management system. the role involves implementing new features, optimising performance, ensuring security, and supporting mission-critical applications.

key responsibilities:

design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications in alignment with business needs.

translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs.

collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

evaluate the feasibility of business requests, estimate timelines, and support project planning.

conduct performance tuning of batch and integration applications.

administer and troubleshoot batch schedules (control-m), including restarts/debugging.

provide production support, including participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

requirements:

minimum 4+ years of software development experience.

strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

experience in full sdlc: requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.

proficient in oracle sql & pl/sql; knowledge of java/.net is a plus.

working knowledge of c (for pro*c batch troubleshooting).

familiarity with both agile and waterfall methodologies.

experience with windows & linux environments.

hands-on with jira, confluence, atlassian tools.

knowledge of control-m scheduler administration/configuration is a plus.
