Job Description

· weigh and measure newborns

· monitor the patient’s vital signs and heart rate etc.

· study patient history and health assessments

· explain and demonstrate breastfeeding techniques

· monitor patient postpartum and be available for questions or concerns

· participate in research and further educational opportunities.

* suggest the patient regarding usage of medicine.

· perform cpr or other emergency measures if needed

midwife requirements and qualifications

· bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing and midwifery and certification from any recognized board; should have gone through internship .

· must be registered as a nurse in the state.

· ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

· excellent verbal and written communication skills

· should have the knowledge of odia language .

· calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude
