Job Description

key responsibilities

1. international sales & business development

 identify and target prospective clients in international markets to generate leads and drive

sales.

 develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet revenue goals and expand market

presence.

 build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing international clients.

 negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close deals with high profitability.

 note: sales performance will be the key criterion for ppo (pre-placement offer) and ongoing

evaluation of internship and ppo.

2. import-export operations

 handle complete import-export operations including documentation, customs clearance,

and logistics.

 ensure compliance with global trade regulations, incoterms, and shipping documentation.

 liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth delivery

cycles.

 resolve issues related to customs discrepancies, shipping delays, and documentation errors.

3. market research & analysis

 conduct research on international market trends, competitor activities, and emerging

opportunities.

 provide insights for strategy refinement and business growth.

 compile reports on sales metrics, market insights, and process efficiency.

4. client communication & support

 serve as the key point of contact for international clients, offering prompt and professional

support.

 share product information, send quotations, and manage after-sales queries.

 maintain accurate and updated client interaction records.

5. documentation & compliance

 prepare and review shipping documents like invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

 ensure adherence to trade laws, export-import compliance, and documentation standards.

 stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and tariffs.

qualifications

 bachelor’s degree in business administration, international trade, or related fields.

 2–3 years of experience in international sales, import-export operations, or similar roles.

 strong knowledge of global trade regulations, incoterms, and shipping procedures.

 proficiency in ms office (excel, word, powerpoint); crm tool experience is a plus.

 excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

 fluency in english (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

 ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
