key responsibilities:

1. manage air traffic: monitor and control the movement of aircraft to ensure safe and efficient flow of air traffic in the designated airspace.

2. provide instructions to pilots: communicate with pilots to provide guidance on takeoff, landing, and taxiing procedures, as well as weather conditions and air traffic information.

3. coordinate with ground staff: collaborate with airport ground staff to ensure seamless aircraft movement on runways and taxiways.

4. enforce safety procedures: ensure compliance with air traffic control regulations and safety protocols to prevent accidents and minimize risks.

5. respond to emergencies: act quickly and decisively in emergencies such as runway incursions, aircraft malfunctions, and communication failures to maintain aviation safety.

6. maintain communication equipment: regularly inspect and test communication equipment to ensure clear and reliable communication with pilots and ground personnel.
