Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and maintain our financial records and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations at our Nashik office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, financial data management, reconciliation, and assisting with various financial reporting and tax compliance tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring financial accuracy and supporting informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Data Management:
Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system (., Tally ERP, QuickBooks).
Prepare and process journal entries, ledger accounts, and balance sheets.
Maintain organized and accessible financial records, both physical and digital.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Manage accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices, verifying bills, and ensuring timely payments.
Manage accounts receivable, including raising invoices, tracking collections, and following up on outstanding payments.
Bank & Cash Reconciliation:
Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
Manage daily cash transactions and reconcile cash books.
Taxation & Compliance (Indian Context):
Assist with the preparation and filing of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).
Assist with the calculation and deduction of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) as per Indian income tax regulations and timely filing of TDS returns.
Support the preparation of documents for other statutory compliances (., Professional Tax, Provident Fund, ESI) as applicable.
Stay updated with changes in Indian accounting standards (IND AS/Indian GAAP) and tax laws.
Payroll Support:
Assist in payroll processing, including calculation of salaries, deductions, and generation of pay slips.
Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and statutory dues related to payroll.
Financial Reporting & Audit Assistance:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including Profit & Loss Accounts and Balance Sheets.
Generate various financial reports (., expense reports, debtors/creditors reports) for management review.
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
General Administrative Support:
