required skill:

• expertise in spark & sql and should have worked with high amounts of data

• excellent in oops and languages like java / python

• knowledge of deltalake (databricks or open source) is an advantage

• well versed with knowledge of data warehousing concepts including: scds, star schema, hierarchy, aggregation and well versed in performance tuning techniques

• should have good exposure to design, development and monitoring team development activities and their code reviews as well.

• function as a lead- they will be managing 3-5 developers under them and should be okay to get deeper and solve the code and bug fixes of their developers.

• good understanding of kafka, kafka brokers, connect and cluster processing

• experience with big data ecosystem (hadoop, hive, sqoop, pig, streaming), relational dbs (ms sql, postgresql, db2, oracle) and nosql databases

• write effective, scalable code. experience in writing solid unit tests and integration tests. work independently in a fast paced, agile environment.

• considerable experience in managing testing activities performance testing, defect tracking, root cause analysis of defects, support uat and facilitate uat sign off.

• experience developing solutions hosted within key major cloud providers using mesos, kubernetes. good understanding of how to deploy services onto cloud - aws or google cloud platform or any other cloud.

• knowledge of google cloud platform – gcs, bigquery, dataproc, pub/sub is a plus

• develop / review technical specifications and design documents
