Key Responsibilities
Technical Sales & Pre-Sales Support
Conduct consultations to understand customer requirements for both backup power (DG sets) and testing equipment (., insulation testers, relay test sets, load banks).
Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demos, and proposals.
Design solution configurations, prepare technical specifications, and provide cost estimates.
Engage in RFQs/RFPsdraft responses, collaborate with engineering teams, and ensure alignment with customer needs.
Relationship Management & Revenue Growth
Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories or key accounts.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with consultants, OEMs, EPC firms, utilities, industrial clients, and service providers.
Negotiate contracts, follow through on purchase orders, and manage delivery timelines.
Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and after-sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Provide installation and commissioning support as required.
Facilitate technical training sessions or workshops for customers and internal staff.
Market & Product Development
Track market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
Provide feedback to product managers to inform roadmap enhancements.
Represent the company at trade expos, conferences, and seminars.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation preferred).
37 years of direct sales experience in DG sets and/or industrial test equipment.
Proven knowledge of diesel generator technologies (alternators, control panels, load banks) and testing instruments (high-voltage, low-voltage, protection testing).
Strong technical writing skills and ability to craft RFQs, quotations, and technical proposals.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, partner offices, and events.
