Job Title: Maintenance Executive / Maintenance Engineer / Facilities Executive

Department: Maintenance / Operations / Engineering

Reports To: Maintenance Manager / Plant Head / Operations Manager

Location: Ichalkaranji, Maharashtra, India (This role is typically factory or plant-based, involving hands-on work and supervision).

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Executive to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for our plant/facility in Ichalkaranji. The Maintenance Executive will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery, equipment, and infrastructure through effective preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and procedures for all machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan [, , ].

Execute corrective and breakdown maintenance activities promptly and effectively, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring quick resolution [].

Plan and coordinate repair and installation activities, ensuring minimum disruption to operations [].

Oversee and manage daily maintenance tasks and schedules for maintenance staff or technicians.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting:

Possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems (as applicable to the industry, ., textile machinery like looms, spinning machines, dyeing equipment, or other manufacturing equipment) [, ].

Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify and resolve potential issues proactively [, ].

Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex equipment failures, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions [].

Spare Parts & Inventory Management:

Manage the inventory of spare parts and consumables, ensuring availability of critical spares while optimizing stock levels to avoid excess inventory [, ].

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of spare parts, tools, and services [].

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities [, , ].

Conduct safety briefings and ensure the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by the maintenance team.

Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions for identified non-conformities.

Team Leadership & Training (if applicable):

Supervise, guide, and train junior maintenance staff and technicians on proper maintenance techniques, troubleshooting, and safety procedures [, ].

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the maintenance department.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, spare parts consumption, and calibration records [, , ].

Prepare regular reports on maintenance performance, equipment reliability, and budget utilization for management review [].

Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or ERP software for maintenance planning and record-keeping (if applicable).
