Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Culinary Creativity & Execution:

Develop and execute a signature menu with innovative dishes aligned with the venue's upscale fusion dining experience.

Ensure flawless presentation, premium plating and unique flavor notes/profile standards for every dish.

Stay ahead of culinary trends to introduce unique and niche offerings that set the venue apart.

Collaborate on menu engineering to balance creativity with profitability.

2. Kitchen Leadership & Management:

Lead and inspire a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to uphold excellence in all aspects of food preparation and service.

Maintain a positive and collaborative kitchen culture, fostering growth and professional development.

Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and training to maximize team efficiency during peak hours.

3. Operational Excellence:

Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost control while minimizing waste.

Collaborate with suppliers to source the highest-quality ingredients, focusing on sustainability and freshness.

Implement and monitor strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.

Streamline kitchen operations with well-documented systems and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Implement strategies to control man-hours meticulously, maintaining operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness without compromising the quality of food or service.

Be present and available during seasons and days to support operations, contribute hands-on, and ensure smooth kitchen performance.

4. Quality Assurance:

Conduct regular quality checks to ensure every dish meets the venue's premium standards.

Develop and maintain procedures for standardized recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines.

Address and resolve kitchen-related concerns proactively to uphold service excellence.

5. Collaboration & Vision:

Work closely with the management team to align culinary offerings with the venue's branding and vision.

Partner with FOH leadership to ensure seamless communication and a cohesive guest experience.

Contribute to marketing strategies by participating in promotional events, menu tastings, and special projects.

Key Skills & Requirements:

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-end dining or fusion restaurant.

Exceptional culinary creativity with a focus on premium plating and presentation.

Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, menu engineering, and inventory management.

Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse kitchen team.

Proficiency in maintaining compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

Passion for crafting niche dishes and delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
