Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of field sales executives, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
Set clear individual and team sales targets (quantitative and qualitative KPIs) and conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
Conduct daily/weekly team meetings to review progress, share best practices, and address challenges.
Accompany sales executives on field visits to provide on-the-job coaching and direct support.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement effective sales strategies, action plans, and tactical initiatives specific to the Latur market and assigned territories.
Identify new business opportunities, potential market segments, and untapped customer bases to drive market penetration and expansion.
Plan and allocate sales territories and resources efficiently to maximize sales coverage and productivity.
Target Achievement:
Responsible for achieving and exceeding individual and team sales targets (., revenue, volume, product mix, new customer acquisition).
Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, and other key sales metrics, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Market Development & Relationship Management:
Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, dealers, or channel partners in the region.
Act as a key liaison between the sales team and high-value customers, assisting sales executives in complex negotiations and resolving escalated client issues.
Oversee the effective implementation of sales promotional activities and campaigns in the field.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
Gather competitive intelligence, market trends, customer feedback, and industry insights from the field.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly), and market analysis reports for senior management.
Ensure all sales activities and customer data are accurately recorded and updated in the CRM system.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure adherence to all company sales policies, processes, and ethical guidelines.
Manage sales expenses within allocated budgets.
Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Marketing, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless support for sales activities.
Local Communication:
Communicate clearly and effectively with the sales team, clients, and partners. Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is absolutely crucial for building rapport and effective interaction in the Latur region. Good English proficiency is required for reporting and communication with senior management.
