given the continued spread of covid-19 (coronavirus), all interviews will be conducted by phone or virtual connection to protect our candidates and employees.

we are a start up, expanding into the world of algorithmic trading. we are looking for a coder with 1-2 years of experience in sql / python. you will be required to work on existing bots for forex trading and will have a chance to explore new trading bots and jump into automated trading for options / cryptocurrency trading as well.

you will:

- code in sql/python to develop modify existing trading bots

- building high-performance components for both live trading and simulation

- code to create new trading bots

- implement algorithmic trading strategies for forex / cryptocurrencies using python, ta-lib, pandas, numpy, mathplotlib, os and sql

- coding strategies using technical analysis and python packages for algorithmic trading, back testing and downloading historical data from different sources would play a major part and will be taught on the job.

- understand the global financial markets

- work flexibly (2-3 days work from home)

what must you bring- / required skills :

- degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or related fields

- strong communication skills (ability to present complex issues clearly, both verbally and in writing)

- database knowledge (. sql, oracle, mongodb, q/kdb,)

- frontend development experience (. js, html5)

- strong programming skills; at least in one of the following languages: python, r, sql, c++

- analytical thinking and problem solving skills

- attention to detail and the ability to work thoughtfully and independently on multiple projects

- data analysis and mathematical modelling skills

nice to have:

- experience in writing code for ai trading

- good understanding of financial markets and concepts
