CAD Engineer

Responsibilities:

Creating 2D and 3D Models: Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of components, assemblies, and systems based on design inputs, sketches, and specifications using CAD software (., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor).

Modifying and Updating Designs: Revise and update existing CAD models and drawings based on engineering change orders (ECOs) and feedback from engineering, manufacturing, or other departments.

Generating Manufacturing Drawings: Prepare accurate and comprehensive manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, material specifications, and surface finishes, suitable for local production processes.

Creating Assembly Drawings: Develop clear and concise assembly drawings and instructions to guide the assembly process.

Bill of Materials (BOM) Generation: Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) associated with CAD assemblies.

Adherence to Drafting Standards: Ensure all drawings and models comply with company drafting standards, industry best practices, and relevant national/international standards.

Collaboration with Engineers and Designers: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and other engineers and designers to ensure design intent is accurately translated into CAD deliverables.

Data Management: Maintain organized and easily accessible CAD files and related documentation in accordance with company data management systems.

Problem Solving: Assist in identifying and resolving design or manufacturing issues by providing accurate CAD data and suggesting potential solutions.

Reverse Engineering (If applicable): Create CAD models and drawings from existing physical parts or prototypes.

Staying Updated: Keep abreast of the latest CAD software features, techniques, and industry trends.

Communication (Local Emphasis): Communicate effectively with team members and potentially shop floor personnel in Marathi and Hindi regarding design details and drawing interpretations.
