major roles & responsibilities

drink preparation & service

prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.

ensure drinks are presented professionally and served at the correct temperature.

customer service & interaction

greet and engage with customers, take drink orders, and offer menu recommendations.

handle customer complaints and requests promptly and courteously.

inventory & stock management

monitor and maintain inventory of liquor, wine, beer, mixers, and garnishes.

reorder supplies when necessary and assist with stocktaking.

cash handling & billing

process payments, maintain accurate cash registers, and reconcile daily transactions.

ensure proper pricing and correct billing for all drinks and services.

cleanliness & hygiene

keep the bar area clean and organized, including utensils, glasses, and equipment.

follow health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures.

mixology & creativity

create new cocktail recipes and offer signature drinks to enhance customer experience.

stay updated with current beverage trends and industry standards.

compliance & safety

verify customer age for legal alcohol consumption and follow responsible serving practices.

ensure compliance with all local and state liquor laws.

event support & coordination

assist in setting up and serving at special events, private parties, or bar promotions.

coordinate with wait staff and kitchen to ensure smooth service.

equipment handling & maintenance

operate bar equipment such as blenders, juicers, and draft beer systems safely.

perform routine cleaning and maintenance of bar tools and machinery.

team collaboration & training

work with fellow bartenders, servers, and management to provide efficient service.

mentor junior bartenders and new staff on techniques, customer service, and safety standards.
