automation tester (selenium) - 3 to 10 years of experience

position overview: we are actively seeking an experienced automation tester with a strong background in selenium automation testing. the ideal candidate should have 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience in automated testing, preferably using c# or java as their primary programming language. familiarity with specflow tool is considered an added advantage. this role involves working in the uk shift timings- 12noon to 10:00pm.

responsibilities:

• develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using selenium webdriver and c# (preferred) or java.

• collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and qa team members to understand software requirements and design appropriate test cases.

• execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects, ensuring thorough test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

• participate in test planning, test case design, and test strategy discussions.

• identify, document, and track software defects, verifying fixes during regression testing.

• contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process by suggesting and implementing best practices and tools.

• stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation testing and share knowledge within the team.

qualifications and experience:

• bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

• 3 to 10 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using selenium webdriver.

• proficiency in programming with either c# (preferred) or java, including experience with test automation frameworks.

• strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.

• experience with behavior driven development (bdd) and tools like specflow is a significant advantage.

• familiarity with version control systems (., git) and continuous integration tools.
