Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and dedicated Workshop Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various mechanical equipment and machinery at our Nashik workshop. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, practical experience with mechanical systems, and a commitment to ensuring the optimal functioning, safety, and longevity of equipment. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and sometimes basic electrical faults in various machinery, vehicles, or equipment using diagnostic tools, manuals, and experience.
Listen to customer/operator descriptions of problems and conduct thorough inspections to identify root causes.
Repair & Maintenance:
Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid checks, filter replacements, and adjustments, as per schedules and manufacturer specifications.
Execute complex repairs, which may involve disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling engines, transmissions, braking systems, hydraulic systems, or other mechanical components.
Replace faulty parts, components, or entire systems.
Conduct precision fitting and assembly of mechanical parts.
Testing & Quality Assurance:
Test repaired or maintained equipment to ensure proper functionality, performance, and adherence to safety standards.
Perform quality checks on completed work to ensure high standards of workmanship.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and service work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and observations.
Prepare detailed service reports, job cards, and material requisitions.
Report any persistent or recurring issues to the supervisor.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Adhere strictly to all workshop safety procedures, company policies, and best practices.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and workshop environment.
Properly handle and dispose of waste materials (., oil, chemicals) as per environmental guidelines.
Tool & Equipment Management:
Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of all workshop tools and equipment.
Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools to the supervisor.
