A Video Editor is a professional who is responsible for taking the raw footage shot by a film crew and director, then turning it into one cohesive video or film. The Video Editor must follow an outline and script and any special instructions given about what should happen in each scene.

Video editing services include the review and refinement of video and special effects for motion pictures, television, or online video.

Video editing ensures continuity between shots, creates pacing through cuts and creates meaning by juxtaposing images. Video Editors will use digital editing applications such as Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro to add and remove elements of a video file, add sound, speed up or slow down footage, and add digital effects.
