job responsibilities:

• application development: the application developer will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining and supporting windows applications of existing clients and work on new projects assigned

• these include requirement specifications, analysis, designing, coding and testing the windows application before final delivery.

• design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code

• ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

• identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

• help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

• maintenance: responsibilities include ongoing maintenance of existing windows applications associated with intranet, extranet and websites.

• application & project management: the candidate must be able to adhere to defined company policies for development and support programming methodologies and standards.

• the candidate should be comfortable working in a team or even single-handedly depending on project requirements.

• communicating with clients and company representatives in other time zones also requires flexibility regarding working hours.

desired candidate profile:

• qualified at degree level or a similar field.

• a minimum of more than 3 and favourably 5 years’ experience of software development in a commercial environment is required.

• experience of a broad range of software development tools is an advantage.

• knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

• experience with popular windows application

• familiar with various design and architectural patterns

• strong understanding of object-oriented programming
