We are looking for an Industrial IOT Engineer with a passion for IoT and Digital technologies to work with our Industrial Services team. This position is responsible for engineering technical solutions for customer’s manufacturing and edge computing, networking and hosted data strategy in the industrial market. This position requires an understanding and appreciation of deploying edge technologies for remote data monitoring, and then moving this data to corporate internet and/or cloud hosted applications for dashboarding, reporting and visualisation. This position will frequently collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and interface directly with operational and technology leaders.

Person qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline with at least three years of professional experience.

• Knowledge of leading IoT platforms, features and concepts such device management, connectivity management, data orchestration, end-to-end security, and firmware updates.

• Experience with IOT operating systems such as Linux and Windows IoT.

• Demonstrated knowledge of industrial automation and related interface & control standards

(. Fieldbus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC).

• Experience with IOT data transport protocols including HTTP, MQTT, CoAP and LWM2M.

• Experience with cloud services for AWS and Microsoft Azure.

• Experience with IOT connectivity Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular networking applications

including GSM, GPRS and LTE.

• Experience with networking concepts, . SSH, DNS, DHCP, Port mapping,

• IOT connectivity Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular networking including GSM, GPRS and LTE.

• Experience with IOT device programming.

• Experience with at least one back end development environment (. NodeJS, ReactJS,

Python). Familiarity with databases, SQL and object-relational mapping is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Big Data systems like Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark and middleware such as

Kubernetes, Kaf
