machine operation: setting up, operating, and tending plastic molding machines (., injection molding, blow molding) to produce plastic components and products according to specifications.

production monitoring: continuously monitoring the machines and the production process to ensure efficient and continuous operation. they are responsible for detecting and reporting any malfunctions or defects in the product.

quality control: performing in-process quality checks and inspections of finished products for defects, flaws, or non-conformance to specifications. they may use gauges and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.

raw material handling: weighing and preparing raw materials, such as plastic pellets and colorants, and loading them into the machine hoppers.

troubleshooting: identifying and troubleshooting minor machine issues or production problems to minimize downtime. they report more complex issues to a supervisor or maintenance technician.

finishing and packaging: performing post-molding tasks such as trimming excess material (flashing), deburring, and degating. they also prepare and label finished products for packaging or transfer to the next department.

safety and cleanliness: adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure efficient operations. they are also responsible for properly disposing of scrap materials.
