Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct microbiological analysis on raw ingredients and finished products to determine their compliance with specifications. Follow up with the first line action steps as necessary.

Maintains microbiological lab equipment and supplies. Oversees calibration of critical laboratory equipment to ensure conformity to standards. Assures that media are prepared in a timely manner. Prepares media for microbiological testing use.

Assures microbiological records are current and accurate

Provide routine laboratory support

Providing technical guidance, coaching, and training

Assist in writing and reviewing protocols and reports

Coordinating with lab managers to ensure successful execution of technical protocols.

Responsible for on-time delivery of new QC test method and instrument SOPs, and approving new QC test method and instrument SOPs.

Supporting test method and instrument troubleshooting, review of test methods, SOP review and revision, regulatory reports etc. as needed

Maintain knowledge base of new technologies in microbiology

Other duties as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

The incumbent should be . in Microbiology.

Minimum practical experience of 1 year in similar position shall be an added advantage. Experience in a medical devices industry preferred.

The candidate should have sound basic knowledge of microbial techniques. Knowledge of PCR techniques would be an added advantage.

Basic knowledge of windows word/excel/power point preferred.

Good communication skills along with command over English language are desirable.
