- strong knowledge of php web frameworks such as laravel and should be proficient in writing apis.

- build efficient, testable, and reusable php modules

- understanding of mvc design patterns

- good understanding of front-end technologies, such as javascript, html5 and css

- familiarity with limitations of php as a platform and its workarounds

- knowledge of object-oriented php programming

- strong knowledge of mysql, building queries and interpreting queries

- working knowledge of cloud computing with emphasis on aws and microservices coding would be an added advantage

- integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers to back-end

- self-starter with the ability to break problems down, research solutions using internet and other available resources to construct solutions to solve problems

- solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
