As a Senior Interior Designer Cum Architect, you will lead complex interior design and architectural projects from conceptualization to completion. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of both architectural principles and sophisticated interior design, with a proven ability to manage projects, mentor junior designers, and maintain exceptional client relationships. You will be responsible for creating innovative, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs that align with client vision, budget, and timelines, while ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and standards.
Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Vision:
Lead the conceptualization and development of comprehensive design schemes for high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects (or specify your firm's focus).
Integrate architectural design principles with interior design elements to create cohesive and harmonious spaces.
Develop detailed design presentations, mood boards, material palettes, and 3D visualizations to communicate design intent effectively to clients.
Stay abreast of the latest interior design and architectural trends, materials, and technologies.
Project Management & Execution:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously from initial client brief through conceptual design, detailed design, tender documentation, and site execution.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters.
Prepare and review detailed architectural drawings, interior layouts, electrical and plumbing layouts, furniture layouts, and custom millwork details.
Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants to integrate services seamlessly into the design.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, preferences, and providing expert design guidance.
Present design concepts and proposals to clients, incorporating feedback effectively while maintaining design integrity.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to junior designers and architects, fostering their professional growth.
Oversee the quality and accuracy of drawings and documentation produced by the design team.
Lead design review meetings and promote a collaborative and creative team environment.
Vendor & Site Coordination:
Source and specify high-quality materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) from reputable vendors.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and fabricators during the tender and execution phases to ensure design intent is accurately translated on-site.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and resolve on-site design-related issues.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and relevant industry standards.
Prepare comprehensive tender documents, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).
