strategic planning & leadership: develop and implement a strategic vision for the engineering department, aligning its goals with company-wide objectives. lead, mentor, and motivate a team of engineers to foster a culture of innovation, high performance, and continuous improvement.
project management: oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of all engineering projects. this includes managing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
technical oversight: provide expert technical guidance and support to the team. ensure the technical accuracy and quality of all engineering work, from design to implementation and testing.
talent management: lead all aspects of talent acquisition and development for the department. this involves recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new engineers, as well as identifying training needs and creating career development plans for existing staff.
collaboration & communication: serve as a primary point of contact for the engineering department. communicate effectively with other departments (., sales, marketing, and finance), as well as with senior management and external stakeholders, to ensure project alignment and secure necessary resources.
budget & resource management: develop and manage the departmental budget, track project costs, and find ways to optimize expenditures without sacrificing quality.
