Overview : A Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) Technician, also known as a Sterile Processing Technician, is responsible for the cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and equipment within a healthcare facility. Their work is crucial in preventing infections and ensuring patient safety by maintaining a sterile environment for surgical and other medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Sorting:

Collecting soiled instruments and equipment from various departments, sorting them for processing.

Cleaning and Decontamination:

Thoroughly cleaning instruments using appropriate methods (., ultrasonic cleaning) and disinfecting them to remove contaminants.

Sterilization:

Operating sterilization equipment (., autoclaves) to eliminate all forms of microbial life, ensuring instruments are safe for reuse.

PROFILE: ALL HEALTHCARE/MEDICAL INDUSTRY

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS DIPLOMA

EXPERIENCE: FRESHERS/ EXPERIENCE

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
