about the role

we are seeking an experienced and skilled cost accountant to join our finance team. the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost accounting data, preparing cost reports, and providing insights to support business decisions.

key responsibilities

1. *cost accounting*: prepare and manage cost accounting records, including cost of goods sold, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.

2. *cost reporting*: prepare and analyze cost reports, including variance analysis and cost trends.

3. *cost control*: identify areas for cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.

4. *budgeting and forecasting*: prepare and manage budgets and forecasts, including cost projections and financial planning.

5. *financial analysis*: analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.

6. *inventory management*: manage inventory valuation and costing, including tracking inventory levels and costing methods.

requirements

1. *qualifications*: fellow member of the institute of cost accountants of india (icmai).

2. *experience*: minimum 4-10 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

3. *skills*:

1. strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.

2. excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

3. ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including finance teams, management, and production teams.

4. proficiency in accounting software and technology, including erp systems.
