Job Title: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Coordinator

Location: Thodupuzha, Kerala

Department: Hematology / Oncology / Transplant Unit

Reporting to: BMT Program Director / Transplant Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator to manage the end-to-end coordination of bone marrow transplant patients. The role involves patient counseling, documentation, interdepartmental coordination, donor matching processes, and follow-ups to ensure smooth execution of BMT procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate pre-transplant assessments, diagnostics, and transplant planning

Assist in donor identification, HLA typing, and liaise with registries if required

Educate patients and families about the transplant process, risks, and post-transplant care

Maintain transplant-related documentation and compliance records (NABH, JCI, etc.)

Act as a single point of contact between patient, medical team, donor, and other departments

Track patient progress during pre and post-transplant periods

Ensure timely coordination with pharmacy, lab, radiology, ICU, and other services

Support clinical trials or research activities related to BMT (if applicable)

Qualifications:

. / . Nursing, GNM, . Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Microbiology

2–5 years’ experience in transplant coordination or hematology/oncology settings

Knowledge of HLA typing, donor matching, and transplant protocols

Skills Required:

Strong interpersonal and counseling skills

Excellent coordination and multitasking abilities

Familiarity with EMR and hospital systems

Ability to work with empathy and sensitivity

Fluency in English and regional language

Preferred Backgrounds:

Oncology or ICU Nursing

Clinical Research Coordinator in oncology or hematology

Organ Transplant Coordination background
