Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Nashik. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing various financial statements, and ensuring strict compliance with Indian accounting principles and statutory regulations. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial integrity and smooth operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, cash books, and bank books.
Process and verify daily financial transactions such as accounts payable (vendor invoices, payments), accounts receivable (customer invoicing, collections), general ledger entries, and inter-company transactions.
Perform timely bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and other balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare periodic financial statements including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet, strictly adhering to Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS / AS) and company policies.
Generate various financial reports for management review, such as expense analysis, revenue reports, and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Taxation and Statutory Compliance (India Specific):
Accurate and timely calculation, deduction, payment, and filing of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).
Manage Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including calculation, deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns (., Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q).
Assist with Income Tax computations and filings for the company.
Ensure compliance with other relevant statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, Professional Tax, etc.
Audit Support:
Prepare necessary documentation, schedules, and explanations to support internal and external audit processes.
Coordinate effectively with auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of audits.
Payroll Processing (if applicable):
Assist in the accurate calculation and processing of employee salaries, wages, deductions, and statutory contributions (PF, ESI, Professional Tax).
Budgeting & Forecasting Support:
Support the senior finance team in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Track budget vs. actual performance and report variances.
Accounts Receivable & Payable Management:
Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
Manage accounts payable efficiently, ensuring timely vendor payments and proper reconciliation of vendor statements.
