about the role:
we are looking for an experienced and motivated lead python developer with a strong background in linux environments and kubernetes orchestration. in this role, you will lead the backend development team, architect and implement scalable microservices, and oversee deployments in a cloud-native setup.
you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our backend systems while mentoring developers and driving best practices in architecture, automation, and continuous delivery.
key responsibilities
lead the design and development of robust backend systems using python frameworks such as flask, django, or fastapi.
architect and maintain microservices and restful apis to support business applications.
manage containerized deployments using docker and kubernetes in cloud environments.
implement and maintain ci/cd pipelines using tools like gitlab ci, jenkins, or github actions.
collaborate with cross-functional teams including devops, qa, and product management to ensure timely and reliable delivery.
optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
promote clean coding practices, peer reviews, and technical excellence within the team.
mentor and guide junior developers to build a strong technical foundation.
required skills and experience:
minimum 8 years of experience in backend development using python.
strong proficiency in linux systems and shell scripting.
hands-on experience with docker and kubernetes.
experience with ci/cd pipelines and automation tools (gitlab, jenkins, or github actions).
knowledge of cloud platforms such as aws, gcp, or azure.
expertise in microservices architecture and rest api design.
excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
proven experience in leading development teams or projects.
nice to have:
experience with kafka, postgresql, terraform, or prometheus.
familiarity with infrastructure as code (iac) and cloud monitoring tools.
understanding of asynchronous programming and performance optimization techniques.
