Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our company in Nashik. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations (especially GST and TDS), processing transactions, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. This role is crucial for maintaining financial health, transparency, and supporting informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Record Keeping:
Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting software (., TallyPrime/Tally ERP 9).
Maintain ledgers, journals, and other accounting records for all financial activities, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
Ensure proper classification of accounts and adherence to accounting principles.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management:
Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and reconcile vendor statements.
Manage accounts receivable, issue invoices to clients, track outstanding payments, and follow up on collections.
Perform regular debtor and creditor reconciliations.
Bank & Cash Management:
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and company records.
Manage petty cash, record cash transactions, and ensure proper reconciliation.
Taxation & Compliance (GST & TDS Focus):
Goods and Services Tax (GST):
Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
Perform GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation with purchase ledgers to ensure accurate Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims.
Ensure compliance with GST laws, invoicing rules, and record-keeping requirements.
Tax Deducted at Source (TDS):
Calculate and deduct TDS as per applicable sections (., on rent, professional fees, contractor payments).
Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q).
Issue TDS certificates (Form 16A) to deductees.
Assist with other statutory compliances like Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), and professional tax (PT) calculations and remittances.
Payroll Processing (if applicable):
Calculate employee salaries, deductions (TDS, PF, ESI), and generate payslips.
Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and accurate record-keeping.
Financial Reporting & Audit Support:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss Accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation and explanations to internal and external auditors.
Inventory Management (if applicable):
Maintain and update inventory records, reconciling physical stock with book stock.
Monitor stock movements and report discrepancies.
General Administrative & Ad-hoc Duties:
Maintain organized financial documents (physical and digital).
Assist the senior management/CA with financial analysis and data as required.
