Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostic services on [Specify Type of Machinery/Vehicles, ., automobiles, heavy vehicles, industrial machinery, textile machinery, agricultural equipment] at our workshop in Nashik. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ensuring the reliable and safe operation of equipment. This role is crucial for minimizing downtime, enhancing equipment longevity, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnosis & Troubleshooting:
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of [vehicles/machinery] using specialized tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.
Identify the root cause of malfunctions, breakdowns, and performance issues accurately and efficiently.
Repair & Maintenance:
Perform comprehensive repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and other components as required.
Execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities, including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, fluid checks, and general adjustments, as per manufacturer specifications or maintenance schedules.
Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery components, ensuring precision and correct fitting.
Replace worn-out, faulty, or damaged parts and components.
Testing & Quality Control:
Conduct thorough testing of repaired [vehicles/machinery] to ensure proper functionality, performance, and adherence to safety standards.
Perform quality checks on completed work to minimize re-work and ensure customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, time taken, and issues identified.
Fill out work orders, job cards, and service reports meticulously.
Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor regarding progress, challenges, and additional repair requirements.
Safety & Workshop Management:
Adhere strictly to all workshop safety procedures, guidelines, and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the workshop bay and personal workstation.
Properly use and maintain workshop tools and equipment, ensuring their good working condition.
