key responsibilities:
• install, align, and test antennas, microwave dishes, and radio transmission equipment on towers and rooftops.
• perform rigging and de-rigging of telecom sites, including cable runs, brackets, and mounts.
• conduct tower climbs for inspection, maintenance, and installation activities in compliance with safety standards.
• assist in the installation and termination of coaxial, fiber optic, and power cables.
• conduct line-of-sight (los) surveys and report findings to engineering teams.
• ensure all rigging work meets project specifications and quality requirements.
• troubleshoot and repair telecom hardware or structural issues at sites.
• maintain accurate daily reports, including site photos, materials used, and work completed.
• follow strict health, safety, and environmental (hse) procedures during all operations.
• collaborate with field engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to complete installations on time.
qualifications:
• high school diploma or technical certificate in telecommunications, electrical, or related field.
• proven experience (2–4 years) in telecom rigging or tower climbing.
• strong understanding of telecom tower structures, antennas, and cabling systems.
• physically fit and comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments.
• ability to use rigging and climbing equipment safely (harnesses, slings, ropes, pulleys, etc.).
• familiar with basic electrical and rf safety principles.
• good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
preferred certifications (optional):
• tower climbing and rescue certification
• rigging and slinging certificate
• basic rf awareness and safety training
• first aid / cpr certification
• osha or equivalent hse training
• valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.
work environment:
• field-based role requiring work at heights, in remote or outdoor locations.
• may involve long hours, travel, and physically demanding tasks.
• strict adherence to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (ppe).
