Job Description

machine setup and operation: a press machine operator must be able to read blueprints and technical specifications to set up the press machine correctly. this includes selecting and installing dies and other components, loading materials, and adjusting settings (like pressure and speed) to ensure the final product meets all requirements.

quality control: throughout the production run, they are responsible for monitoring the machine's operation to ensure the quality and consistency of the parts being produced. they inspect finished products using precision measuring tools like micrometers and calipers to verify they conform to specifications and identify any defects.

maintenance and troubleshooting: operators perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating the machine, to prevent malfunctions. they must also be able to troubleshoot and address minor mechanical issues that arise during operation to minimize downtime.

safety and documentation: adhering to strict safety protocols is paramount. operators must use proper personal protective equipment (ppe) and maintain a clean and organized work area. they also maintain accurate records of production data, including part counts, machine performance, and any issues encountered.
