key responsibilities

machine operation and setup: load materials (such as metal sheets, plastic, or wood) onto the machine bed and set up the laser cutter according to job specifications. this includes selecting the correct cutting programs, adjusting machine settings (power, speed, and focal point), and ensuring all components are properly aligned.

blueprint and design interpretation: read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and computer-aided design (cad) files (like .dxf or .dwg) to understand project requirements and determine the cutting path.

quality control: continuously monitor the cutting process to ensure high-quality output. inspect finished products using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify they meet dimensional and quality standards.

maintenance and troubleshooting: perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning lenses and nozzles, to keep the machine in optimal working condition. troubleshoot and address minor machine malfunctions or production issues.

safety and compliance: adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (ppe) to ensure a safe working environment
