job role: heavy commercial mechanic
key responsibilities
diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults in heavy vehicles.
perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing (engine oil, filters, brakes, suspension, etc.).
repair or replace faulty components such as transmissions, gearboxes, clutches, axles, and differentials.
conduct road worthiness inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
use diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot and calibrate vehicle systems.
maintain service logs and repair documentation.
collaborate with drivers and fleet managers to identify recurring issues.

iti or diploma in diesel mechanic / automobile engineering.

oem certifications (tata motors, ashok leyland, volvo, bharatbenz, etc.) are a plus.
