ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will be accountable for monitoring the support ticketing system or Queue (NOC) and be able to: Operations and Support Log into Customer Environments to validate they are up after an Alert has been received. Be able to reboot an Environment using the Stop/Start Scripts. Have some understanding of Networking/Application Support. I.e. If the Problem is that the Network is down, reach out to the Customers IT Team or to a 3rd Party who is managing the Network. Experience in installing and configuring in Windows and Linux/Unix domain. Contribute to and maintain system standards. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies. Provide Tier 3 support for clients in US, UK and Canada. Apache web server expertise. Knowledge/Skills Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science. Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Unix and Microsoft. 4-6 years system administration experience.
