Mirc Electronics is one of the premier television manufacturers in India. Its Onida brand, one of the most recognizable in India, has emerged as one of the premium names in the business for its sustained ability to introduce models that are futuristic and image enhancing for its buyers. The company is principally engaged in the design, branding, assembly and marketing of colour televisions and washing machines. The company has also recently launched Air Conditioners and DVDs. A small proportion of the companys revenue is also sourced from the manufacture and sale of black and white televisions as well as the marketing of professional grade presentation products. Over the years, Mirc has strengthened its reputation for the intelligent and pioneering application of technologies. For instance, Mirc was the first in the world to launch an Internet television, the Webcruiser. Thereafter, it launched the Onida Twister, which was the first television that turned to face the viewer.
