In Information technology there are two main branches ( 1) IT service and(2) business process outsourcing (BPO). There has been a large increase in the contribution of this sector in the growth of India's GDP from 1.2% in 1998 to 7.5% in 2012. The sector aggregated revenues of US$147 billion in 2015, with export revenue standing at US$99 billion and domestic revenue at US$48 billion, growing by over 13%. With the initiative of our Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modiji who started a project by the name-- -Digital India our country could secure and holds an IT position in India and the entire world.
The contracting of business I.e. engaging a third party service provider by way of contract for the operations and responsibilities of a specific business process is called BPO (Business Process Outsourcing)BPO is typically categorized into back office outsourcing, which includes internal business functions such as human resources or finance and accounting, and front office outsourcing, which includes customer-related services such as contact centre services.
