Overview
Datavim is seeking a Data Analyst engineer who will be responsible for formulating and defining specifications for enterprise reporting or modify and maintain existing dashboards, reports and data analytics in Tableau, Qlikview and/or Power BI. Candidate will be responsible but not limited to design dashboard, deployment, advanced data analytics & visualization, automated reporting applications and functional as well as technical documentation of all work. Position requires technical knowledge of all phases of enterprise reporting systems applications.
What youll do:
Working with Business Intelligence platforms to deliver reports, scorecards and dashboard with infographics
Work on visualization tools like QlikView, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
Ability to create innovative dashboards/reports with large amounts of data while looking at the bigger picture
Delivering the data in a useful and appealing way to users
Ability to analyze complex data sets and check accuracy and integrity of data
Translate business requirements into technical designs and maintain documentation for design, development and reporting work
Transforming, improving and integrating data, depending on the business requirements
Combining the data result sets across multiple sources (a.k.a. data blending)
What to bring:
Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of relevant industry experience
Primary Skills: Data Analyst, Visualization expert, Tableau, QlikView, PowerBI
Secondary Skills: Scripting / Coding (React-JS, HTML5, .Net, Java, etc)
Hands-on experience in at least one tool of each - ETL, Relational Database and Reporting tool
Understanding of statistics and analytical skills
Willingness to learn about user experience, design principles and data analysis & visualization best practices
Highly collaborative and team oriented
Good documentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-have:
Experience working in an Agile environment
Dev/Ops experience
Git expertise
Knowledge with data analytics tools and languages (R, Python) would help.
Experience in Javascript framework and libraries (e.g. JQuery, Angular2, React JS)
Experience in visualizing data in HTML, CSS and Javascript
Experience with Pentaho, javascript data visualization frameworks like D3.js is a plus
