Minimum 8 Years of Experience with at least 3 years of experience in designing database solutions

- Should exhibit strong leadership skills. Must have at least 5 years of leading a team

- Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases preferably SQL server

- Experience in managing and executing complex projects involving multiple dimensions of dependencies. Experience in multiple environments (development/testing/production) would be a plus

- Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data

- Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations

- Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions

- Identify, evaluate and recommend hardware or software technologies to achieve desired database performance

- Educate staff members through training and individual support

- Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive team

- Should have knowledge around data archival techniques, with at least one workable solution implementation

- Must possess an analytical and inquisitive nature, with excellent attention to detail

Good to have:

- Profile server resource usage and optimize and tweak as necessary

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Hive, Spark

- Prior experience in Financial Services

- One large scale greenfield implementation of database solution.
